Fix mouse lag in Windows 2008 R2 Virtual Machine

For whatever reason I’ve had this problem more with Windows Server 2008 R2, not so much with non R2 version. Anyway, here is how you fix it:

1. install VMWare Tools on your virtual machine and reboot

2. VMWare tools should have created the folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VMware\Drivers\wddm_video

3. go to Device Manager, to your video adapter and select “Update driver”

4. when asked for the files, navigate to the folder above and reboot
